- Pre-approval: simple phone call or hurdles?
- Rental and towing: daily caps, miles, downtime rules.
- Transfer/cancel: fees, proration, refund timing.
- Who pays: direct to shop or you first?
Red flags I won't ignore
- "Lifetime" claims with microscopic limits.
- Telemarketing urgency and gift cards.
- Mandatory inspection only after you pay.
- Teardown not covered if denied.
- Administrator without an insurer backing claims.
